I'm not sure what started us house-hunting but we have.
We are in a lease for another 16ish months but we've found
a couple of that are cheap, which have seen and gotten the bug.
We are trusting the Lord that if this is the time we should buy
that the doors that need to open will open and those that
should close, will close. That being said, we are looking.
The one below is near if not at the top of our likes-list.

My only advice is to not expect your "dream home" in your first house. Decide what you are and are not willing to compromise on BEFORE you look at houses and vow not to budge :) Have fun!
Two thoughts.
1. Don't settle. Wait until you find what you really, really want and then pull the trigger. There are tons of great homes out there and there's no harm in waiting a year or two.
2. When you find the right home, you will want to buy it immediately, so don't look until you're ready to buy. I say that because we started looking before we thought we'd wind up buying and found a home we love within a month.
