I thought I'd share with you, dear cyber-friends. I'm learning
about compromise. Aaron and I have learned a great deal
about each other in the last 9 months of marriage. We now
find ourselves on our newest adventure: apartment-hunting!
We operate very differently. If you know much about me, you
know that I tend to make decisions rather quickly. When I
find what I want, I don't really wait around to make a move.
My darling husband on the other hand takes a lot of time to
research and learn about whatever the decision-at-hand is...
then when he's well-informed, he makes his decision.
It's clear the Lord matched us well; I've found we both
compliment each other well in different ways. In this case
we've found that Aaron's desire for information tends
to temper my wanting to make a clear, decisive decision
perhaps without all the necessary information.
Let's face it: I can be hasty. At the same time, I
occasionally feel like Aaron takes FOREVER to make
up his mind. This is why the Lord was good to both of us
in placing us together. We help the other to be tempered
in their otherwise extreme decision-making timelines.
So: recap of our lesson - Murrays are apartment-hunting.
They've looked at 5 apartments so far; at least 3 more...
Darcy may have made a decision, Aaron's still researching.
This is for the good of both parties involved.
We'll find a home we can call home for 2-3 years!
God is good... and knows me better than I know myself :)
